Racing Event Schedule

A: Official Practice - Race server will open for practice before qualifying at 7:30pm EST.

B: Qualifying Session– The first set of qualifying will begin at 8:45pm EST.

C: Main Events Practice – Once the field is set the officials will post or notify all the drivers whether or not they qualified. Main Event Practice will begin shortly thereafter.

D: Main Events Qualifying - Qualifying for the main events will begin promptly at 9:15pm EST.

E: Driver’s Meeting - The Drivers Meeting will start immediately after main event qualifying. It is MANDATORY that all drivers attend the driver’s Meeting on the Teamspeak. Any rules specific to that particular track will be given at this time. No chatting is allowed during the Drivers Meeting. This includes text chats in the game. The meeting goes much smoother if everyone keeps their fingers off the keyboard for a few minutes. Please respect the Race Officials and refrain from typing or chatting when information about the evening’s race is being explained.

F: Happy Hour – There will be a 5 to 10 minute Happy Hour session prior to the start of the race. During Happy Hour, you are responsible for determining your pit location. Take this time to find your pit stall and practicing entering and exiting pit road safely and properly.

G: Main Events – The Main Events will approximately begin at 9:25 EST.

Membership Series

The Monday Night Money series is a Membership series. This means it requires the purchase of a specific car number membership license in order to participate. The current cost for an annual AKM Membership at this time is $60.00. All point calculations for this series are based solely on specific car numbers, not specific driver’s name. An owner can have multiple drivers drive one car number, if he so elected to do so. All points and wins accumulated will go to that specific car number. If an owner decides to sell that number to another owner or driver, he is free to do so at his discretion. Of course, the officials need written confirmation for this action to take place. But all points collected at that time do transfer to the new owner.

Qualifying Format

A: The AKM Monday Money Series uses a Qualifying session and a Qualifying Provisional Rule to determine the 34 car field for A-Main Event.

I: The Qualifying Session consists of a 2 lap qualifying run with 2X pit frequency to determine the Top 32 fastest cars that will qualify for the A-Main event.

II: Once a driver qualifies a car, that driver MUST be the driver that races the car in the A-Main event. Once Qualifying begins, an owner cannot switch drivers.

B: Qualifying Provisional Rule

A. AKM uses a Qualifying Provisional rule to determine the final 2 spots of the A-Main. The highest 2 car numbers in points will be used to determine the Provisional spots.

B. The 2 Provisional spots will be awarded to the 2 highest car numbers that fail to make the Top 32 in Qualifying for the A Main.

I: During the 1st 5 races of the year, AKM will use the previous year’s final point standings to determine the Provisional spots. Starting with Race #6, the current standings for that year will be used.

II: To qualify for the Provisional spot, a driver must complete at least 1 lap in the Qualifying Session and therefore show on the game export. Failure to complete a lap, will results in NO Provisional spot.

III: Each specific car number is allowed only 2 Qualifying Provisional spots per year. If a car number is out of a Qualifying Provisional’s, then next eligible car
will receive the spot.

IV: An owner can sell, trade, or switch the Provisional spots prior to the 1 month cutoff date issued by AKM. For 2009, this date is Friday, January 16th. After that date, the Provisional spots are locked to that specific car number. If the number is sold after the season begins, the provisional spots transfer as well.

2009 Provisional Page

A-Main

As stated, the Top 32 fastest from the Qualifying Session and the 2 Qualifying Provisional spots will make up the 34 car A-Main field.

A-Main Weekly Payouts

The 2009 weekly payouts for the A-Main of Monday Night Money will be based off the following payment scale:
A. 1st Place – $40
B. 2nd Place – $20
C. 3rd Place - $12 (3rd Place will ONLY be paid if there is less than 6 drivers in the B Main)
D. Race Leader at Halfway Point – $12 - The leader of the race at halfway point in each 2009 Monday Night Money A-Main will receive $12 as a prize.

The above payouts are based on a field of 40 plus drivers per race. AKM reserves the right to modify the weekly payouts if necessary, should the participation in the series drop to a level in which the weekly prizes cannot be met.

B-Main

Once the A-Main field is set, the remaining entries will be allowed to compete in a B-Main.

A. The B-Main will compete in a 5% per driver race. (Example: 4 drivers @ 5% per driver = 20% B-Main race)

B. A weekly payout of $12 will be given to the winner of the B-Main each week. A minimum of 6 qualified drivers is required in order for the B Main winner to receive the $12 prize. If there are less than 6 qualified drivers that start the B Main, the race will continue as planned, just without the $12 Winner's prize.

C. If the B Main does not meet the required amount of drivers, the $12 payout will be given to 3rd Place in the A Main.

D. Each B Main entry must complete 1 lap and show the game export in order to receive ANY points. Failure to do so will result on NO points for that event.

E. The following points system will be used for the B Main:

1st Place – 58 Pts

2nd Place – 55 Pts

3rd Place – 52 Pts

4th Place – 49 Pts

5th Place – 46 Pts

6th Place – 43 Pts

7th Place – 40 Pts

8th Place – 37 Pts

9th Place – 34 Pts

10th Place – 31 Pts

F. Each additional entry after 10th Place will receive 25 Points.

G. There will be NO additional BONUS points for Lap Leaders and other awards. 58 Pts is MAXIMUM amount of points a driver can receive in the B Main.

“The Chase for the Championship” Format

Race winning car numbers throughout the 36-race season will receive 185 points. Counting the five-point bonuses available for leading at least one lap and leading the most laps, a race winner earn a maximum of 195 points, creating a possible maximum of 25 points between first and second-place finishers, if the 2nd place failed to lead a lap. Each race winner will receive a 10-points BONUS at the start of the Chase, if and only if that car number is one of the qualified Chase drivers.

“The Chase for the Championship” will consist of the final 10 races of the 2009 season in the Monday Money Series. After Race 26, the Top 12 in points will qualify for the Chase Championship. There is no minimum or maximum point cutoff. The Top 12 in points at the end of Race #26 will qualify for the Chase no matter how many points they are behind the leader.

All Chase cars will then have their point totals re-set to 5,000. Each will then receive their 10-point BONUS for each race that car won during the first 26 races. The Chase cars will therefore be “seeded” to start the Chase based on the number of wins amassed during the regular season. This format puts a stronger emphasis on winning races and maintains the realism of each series.

Once the Chase begins, all the Chase cars will be locked in the Main event. The car does not have to qualify in via the Qualifying session. All Chase cars will be locked in the final 10 races.

AKM uses a Chase Eligibility Rule during the final 10 races and Chase for the Championship. The Chase Eligibility rule is as follows:

A: Chase Eligibility Rule

I: During the final 10 races, ANY driver that has failed to compete in a minimum of at least 6 MNM races will not be allowed to race. This intended to keep new drivers from impacting the quality of racing during the Chase.

II: A driver can compete in multiple cars to become eligible. The driver’s name will be used to determine the Chase Eligibility rule, not the car number.
