SECTION I- PRE-RACE PROTOCOL AND PROCEDURES

Teamspeak:

All drivers are required to utilize the TeamSpeak communication program to participate in all events here at AKM. Real names are recommended to be used on the AKM Teamspeak. Respect others at all times and be mindful of language in the open forum. Drivers REQUIRE a working microphone to transmit and receive track specific communications with competitors and the Administration.

In the event of a racing incident, the administration needs time to review and analyze the incident in detail with multiple replay angles. The administration will inform the channel when chat is open after the incident review. At no time will a driver flame, cuss, or demonstrate actions that are detrimental to stock car racing code of behavior! Drivers that make unprofessional like comments in race chat written and/or verbally WILL RECEIVE ONE WARNING from the Administration. If the driver continues to make comments they are subject to EJECTION from Teamspeak and the racing venue.

Chat Rules:
The only pitting chat that is allowed is entering the pits under Green Flag Conditions. Example: (#000 entering pits).

There will be no exiting pit chat under caution. No entering or exiting pit stall chat will be allowed. You may post “pass high” or “pass low”. Please keep the “I’m sorry” and “thank you” for after the race. Absolutely no chat allowed under green flag conditions.

Player Information:
Drivers will use their real name and place their full name in the last name field within the game. Leave the first name field blank.
EXAMPLE

All drivers MUST log into the Race LM program to participate in all AKM venues. Failure to comply equates to not being allowed to race. Drivers are not authorized to race under another registered members account name. Individual account members will ensure passwords associated with Race LM are close hold and not distributed to other members. If a driver is caught racing under another drivers account information. BOTH members’ accounts will be deleted from AKM.

Timeliness:
Drivers are required to be in the practice session no later than (NLT) 15 minutes prior to the qualifying session. Drivers may not be eligible to qualify if they arrive with less than 15 minutes in the practice session.

Server Connection Issues:
If by chance the Race LM server drops more than 50% of the drivers, two courses of action will occur:

1. If 50% of the field gets dropped before the half way point and cannot reconnect the race will be called a rain-out due to technical and/or equipment failure. This event would be rescheduled at a later date based on schedule availability.

2. If 50% of the field gets dropped after the half way point and cannot reconnect, the race is considered official based on export availability.

Driver Connection Issues:
1. In case of a loss of connection to the server, drivers will receive a maximum of TWO LAPS BACK one time during the racing venue. Example - driver X falls out of server and connects back three laps down. In this case the driver will receive TWO laps back and is eligible for the next lucky dog award.

2. If the same driver loses connection again; that driver WILL NOT receive any more laps back. The driver will be allowed two connection attempts, if the driver falls out for the third time that driver may not return for that racing venue.

Black Flags (BF) & Administrative Penalties:
If the game issues you a black flag it is yours to serve; unless, an uncontrollable circumstance on the track that requires the Administration to remove the Black Flag penalty.

Qualifying:
During qualifying we expect NO VERBAL and/or TYPED CHAT. This includes all forms of VERBAL or NON-VERBAL chat and/or texting until the qualifying clock reaches 0:00.

Pre-Race Meeting RULES and Protocol:
Immediately after qualifying we conduct a formal drivers meeting. This meeting highlights rules and track specific conditions identified by the Administration. At this time no Verbal and/or Non-Verbal types of communications are authorized. Drivers WILL NOT be allowed on the track until cleared to do so by the Primary Official for the race. Any driver that does not follow these instructions will be given ONE WARNING, then Ejected from the Event for failure to follow instructions.

Lap one and Race Restart Procedures:
Once the leader completes the first lap under green conditions we will not restart the race for any reason. If a driver losses connection on pit road or has calibration issues prior to the GREEN FLAG we will restart to allow the driver to field the car. However, if a driver misses the start of the race we will not restart. NO RESTARTS will be made for all MNM racing events.

SECTION II- DRIVER CONDUCT

There is a reason you have chosen AKM. With that said, we expect all drivers here at AKM to race clean, race smart, and constantly maintain situational awareness on the track. Furthermore, it is the driver’s responsibility to maintain a positive simulated racing experience. Any one driver that is confirmed through outside sources (Hacker Smacker and/or related Race LM cheat detection software) with confirmed and/ or questionable background programs running will be administratively removed from all AKM events for a period of one calendar year from the date of the infraction.

Intentional and/or perceived retaliation:

An act of aggressive and unwarranted driver conduct towards another driver. Blatant retaliation degrades the racing experience for all parties involved and WILL NOT be tolerated.
Blatant contact is an automatic -100 point deduction for that particular venue and a one week suspension from all AKM events. Further perceived intentional incidents may result in the driver to be removed from AKM at the discretion of the Administration.

SECTION III- TRACK RULES

Practice Time:
The server opens approximately 60 minutes prior to qualifying time. The practice session is designed for practice. Please follow the same racing etiquette in the practice session that you would perform during race conditions. I.e. Enter and Exit pit road in a safe orderly manner and limit race chat to track specific conditions.

Start and Restarts:
The race leader is responsible to set the pace for all starts and restarts. Drivers are required to maintain pace car speed while coming to the green flag and all subsequent restarts. The leader will not jump the restart in order to gain an unfair advantage on the track. If the race leader passes the pace car in an attempt to increase caution flag laps the driver in question will receive an EOLL. The pace leader will accelerate when both the flag and caution lights display Green (Example below).

During pace laps vehicles are required to maintain .2 -.5 variance between vehicles at all times. Drivers WILL NOT lag back in the field; this creates confusion on vehicle placement when approaching the green flag. Race Officials will closely monitor this practice and depending on the circumstance involved may instruct the violator to secure the EOLL.

Pace Lap Conduct:
Drivers will not touch vehicles under caution by bumping, hitting, or rubbing.
First incident is an EOLL penalty.

Blocking/ Erratic Driving Style:
Blocking is defined as an obstacle or hindrance. In other words, perceived aggressive and/ or erratic vehicular movements on the racing surface to stop the advancement of another vehicle. Blocking is not authorized until 10 laps or less to go and individuals are responsible for their own actions.

FIRST 5 LAPS/LAST 10 LAPS:
Race Officials review the first five and last ten laps in accordance with the contact rules outlined below. However, the first five and last ten laps are crucial to ensure racing success per se. We ask in these first few laps that all drivers race each other the same way that YOU would want to be raced. I.e. if a vehicle checks up in front of you…provide that level of courtesy to allow your competitor time to gather it up. In other words…RESPECT!

Race contact between two or more drivers:

1st Offense: The driver identified as responsible for contact with another driver will receive an EOLL penalty and a MINUS ONE LAP PENALTY. Driver will not be eligible for the next Lucky Dog Award.

2nd Offense: The same driver that causes a caution for the second time in the same racing venue will PARK THE VEHICLE FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE EVENT.

Last 10 Laps:
In the event a caution flag is displayed with ten or less laps remaining in the event. The driver that caused the caution flag will secure an EOLL penalty, a MINUS ONE LAP PENALTY, and receive a -25 point deduction in the final race standings.

Solo or Self Spin with contact:
Same rules apply as Race contact between two or more drivers!

Solo or Self Spin without contact:
If a driver self spins and does not make contact with another driver resulting in a CAUTION FLAG, the driver will receive ONE WARNING and EOLL penalty. In the event, the same driver SELF SPINS for the second time regardless of contact and/or no contact the driver in question will be penalized under the “The race contact between two or more drivers” rule.

Lucky Dog Rule:
When the caution flag is displayed, a lucky dog will be awarded to the first driver one or more laps down at the time of the caution. The lucky dog recipient can not be involved in the incident. The lucky dog is non-transferable to other lap down cars if the first car a lap down is involved in the incident. The LUCKY DOG will not be awarded with less than 10 laps to go. The lucky dog recipient is responsible to secure the EOLL penalty to receive a lap back at the green flag by the Officials. The identified lucky dog recipient needs to pit every time by and speed down pit road to secure the EOLL penalty. Failure to secure the tail of the field coming to the green flag, at the discretion of the administration may not be awarded the lucky dog.

Lucky Dog after receiving an in race penalty:
If a driver was penalized during the last caution and received a minus one lap penalty the driver is not eligible to receive the next lucky dog award, nor is the lucky dog transferrable.

Lapped, Damaged or Slow Traffic:
All drivers that are off the pace or laps down must allow lead lap cars the primary racing surface and/or preferred racing groove. All lapped vehicles with 10 laps or less to go must drive down pit lane or pit every time by to secure the tail end of the field.

SECTION IV- CAUTION AND PIT ROAD PROCEDURES

Racing Back:
Drivers WILL NOT race back to the start finish line unless 10 or less laps to go. If you advance your position by racing back you will be instructed to secure an EOLL.

When a caution flag is waived:
Hold your position while coming to the caution flag. DO NOT PASS and DO NOT LIFT BEFORE THE ENTRANCE TO TURN ONE and lift gradually. Situational awareness is critical based on track circumstances.

Posting or Announcing Pit Stops:
Post all pit stop intentions via hotkey AUTO CHAT and/or TeamSpeak on the backstretch, this will ensure all drivers are aware of your intentions.

Fake Pitting:
If all four wheels pass below the line separating the racing surface from the apron drivers MUST PIT. If you merge back out on the track you will receive an EOLL. Exceptions are the new Revamped Reloaded and Safer Barrier tracks that have cones at pit entry.

Pit Lane Rules:
While Entering and Exiting Pit Road, stay to the RIGHT LANE ONLY in single file line until you have reached your pit box. Do not cut through other drivers pit boxes upon entering or exiting pit road. The middle lane on pit road is a transition lane to merge into your pit stall and/or into the outer lane. When exiting pit lane, ensure you utilize the F2 key to identify approaching vehicles. It is YOUR responsibility to safely merge and exit pit lane in an orderly manner. Maintain pit road speed while entering and exiting pit road.

SECTION V- SUPER SPEEDWAY RULES

Bump Drafting:
No Bump drafting in the Turns and/or tri-oval areas.

3 Wide:
Three wide racing is highly discouraged till TEN laps to go.

Passing Below the Yellow Line:
Drivers racing at Talladega and Daytona will not pass below the yellow line to advance a position. If you advance your position driving below the yellow line you will receive a BF penalty.

SECTION VI- SERIES AND/OR SEASON TIE BREAKING RULE

In the case two or more drivers finish the season in a tie, the number of wins during the season is used to break the tie. Successive tie breakers are the number of second-place finishes, third-place finishes and so on until the tie is broken.

SECTION VII- DISCLAIMER

This league reserves the right to remove any driver and/or group of drivers at any time for any reason. AKM is not responsible for participant’s failure to understand the rules within. AKM reserves the right to alter and/or change the rules at any time to create a better simulated racing experience.
